Yonago is located on the west north shore of Japan with a beautiful lake Naka Umi, Kaike spa (hot spring on the sea shore) and an old volcano Daisen.
Yonago is a relatively small city in Japan. It is especially safe to stay. The visitors can relax in Yonago and enjoy the zeolite and microporous science.
For sightseeing, you can visit the ruin of Yonago Castle, Old Town Area (you can enjoy a small boat cruis), Tottori Hanakairo Flower Park, Yonago Waterbirds Sanctuary, Yuushien (a Japanese style garden on an island in Naka Umi) and Adachi Museum of Art (recommended to overseas visitors!) inside and outside the city.

Yonago belongs to Tottori Prefecture. At the east end of the Tottori Prefecture, there is Tottori City, which is famous for the great sand dune. It takes 1 hour by train from Yonago to Tottori. Visit the webs of Niwa laboratory and Tottori University.
From Yonago, you can visit Matsue, having an old castle and historic town, by 20 minutes train trip to the west. Visit the web of Shimane University.
