JKSC had been held in every two years between the two countries. 20th Japan-Korea Symposium on Catalysis (20JKSC) will be held on the Yonago Convention Center “BIG SHIP” in Yonago, Japan from May 20 to 22, 2025. All lectures and presentations will be provided on site.
Yonago Convention Center "Big Ship",
294 Suehiro-cho, Yonago city, Tottori Prefecture 683-0043, Japan
5 min by walk from JR Yonago Station North Exit,
25-30 min by train or bus from Yonago Airport
Direct flights to Yonago Airport (YGJ) from Incheon Airport (ICN) are available on Wed, Fri and Sun, and those to Okayama Airport (OKJ) from ICN are available on Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun. YGJ is also accessible from Haneda Airport everyday.
You can arrive at “BIG SHIP” in 30 min. from YGJ by local train or in 2 h 50 min. from OKJ by shuttle bus and express train.
This place was the venue of ZMPC 2006 (International Symposium on Zeolites and Microporoous Crystals)
A keynote lecturer of ZMPC2006, Dr. Ulrich Müller, sent me (Katada) an interesting comment. At the ZMPC2006, I (Katada) was the symposium secretary, and we invited Dr. Müller, Prof. Omar Yaghi and Prof. Susumu Kitagawa as lecturers. They are founders of science of MOF/PCP. They met at the symosium, shared a table and discussed about the name of new compounds.
Deadline for abstract submission December 20 (Fri), 2024

3. The proceedings will be published as special issues of Applied Catalysis, A: General (APCATA) and Catalysis Today (CATTOD) . Authors presenting in 20JKSC can submit one paper to APCATAA or CATTOD or not to Proceedings according to their preference. Based on the number of submissions to the journal, they may be asked to move from APCATAA to
CATTOD or from CATTOD to APCATAA. Papers will be reviewed based on the quality level and scope of APCATAA or CATTOD and may be rejected for publication. The deadline for submissions will be fixed at a date close to the 20JKSC period, May 2025.In the abstract submission form, please choose one of the following:
(A) I would like to submit my paper to APCATAA and can move it to CATTOD if necessary.
(B) I would like to submit my paper to CATTOD and can move it to APCATAA if necessary.
(C) I would like to submit my paper only to APCATAA, but if that is not possible I will withdraw it and not move it to CATTOD.
(D) I would like to submit my paper only to CATTOD, but if that is not possible I will withdraw it and not move it to APCATAA.
(E) I will not submit my paper to the Proceedings.
4. Please send "abstract file" and "submission form" to secretary office (E-mail: 20JKSC@ees.hokudai.ac.jp). If the files are sent successfully, a confirmation e-mail will be sent within a few weeks to the e-mail address that you provide. If you do not receive it, contact to secretary office.
Selection of contributions and the mode of presentations will be decided by the Organizing Committee, based on the abstract. Deadline for abstract submission is December 20 (Fri), 2024 .Notice of acceptance will be sent to the corresponding authors by Early of March 2025.
